Most people on this planet are born in one country and live there for the rest of their lives. Some of us are lucky enough to travel and interact with foreign cultures but how often you truly get to live the local culture to actually take up the life of someone in the country, meet their friends and stay in their home? Probably never.
But, if thereโ€™s one thing we have learned while traveling is that deeply connecting with the local culture could be one of the most rewarding experiences you can have.

Beyond the discovery of the destination, it is above all the individual and collective experiences that we would like to give to the participants under our responsibility. We want to lead them out of their comfortable habits, to meet others, to meet themselves.
Our educational will is part of time by accompanying participants, these citizens of tomorrow, in the construction of their identity.
That is why creating links between peoples is our spearhead.

An organised adventure

An organised adventure

  • A human-sized group allowing the team to focus on each Participant (often between 10 and 25 participants).
  • Knowledge of the field, bookings provided by the permanent Milna team.
  • A diversity of projects away from the formatted travel agencies standard.
  • Reliable providers for many years.
  • Reasoned projects: the objective of Milna is not to “consume the destination”. A project is also a vacation time whose rhythm is adapted to the participants.

Taking care of the group

Taking care of the group

  • The Milna Person(s) listens to the participants and handle the groups during all the accompanied projects duration.
  • 1 adult for 10 participants and the ratio is often lower (always a minimum of 2 adults with each group)
  • A demanding and egalitarian recruitment process for Milna Person(s).
  • A team composition done by Milna. We assign each person according to their experience, their skills and the stakes of the project to form complementary teams.
  • A progressive support for Milna Person(s) provided by the Permanent Milna team before, during and after the project.

To make it easy

  • Facilitate the link between the different protagonists of a project: the participants, the team, the parents, the institutions.
  • A communication and sharing tool for each project, updated very regularly by the participants and the Milna team with articles and photos, where the loved ones have the opportunity to interact with.

Secured

Responsible traveler

Responsible traveler

  • Soft modes of travel, by bicycle, on foot. We also offer projects with train transportation. We promote the consumption of local resources (meals, transport).
  • Community immersion: many of our projects offer interactions with the locals, homestay accommodation, discovery and sharing of daily activities.
  • A participatory project: some of our projects offer involvement in a local social, cultural or environmental project based on the real needs of the inhabitants.
  • We limit our environmental impact as much as possible.
